September was a fun month with three weddings and lots of birthdays. Here's everything we did! We started off the month with this decorated fruit cake. It was a chocolate and vanilla layer on the inside and all these wonderful fruit slices on top. Dumbo is such a great character, and this cake was adorable. How can Dumbo in a tub not be cute? This was the first of our wedding cakes, and we loved the bride's vision of the crisscrossing ribbons. Simple yet elegant! That same weekend, we had two orders for two different present cakes. The TIffany present was for a bridal shower, and the pink bling cake was for a woman's birthday. Both were fun celebrations! Nightmare before Christmas! This was a fun cake to decorate!! Sometimes the simplest cakes are the prettiest out there. This roses cake was done in an ivory Swiss meringue buttercream and was sprayed with luster dust to give it a sheen. Happy anniversary indeed! We know adults who don't eat sushi, so the fact that this sushi boat cake was for a boy is incredible! We heard he loved it! Here's our take on an over the hill cake. It's a fun survival kit. Happy birthday! This monster truck sheet cake was a simple one, but it's pretty fun! How about a welcome baby cake! I know if I were a new mom, I would want to sink my teeth into some cake! This t-shirt cake is showing some great school spirit for the local elementary school in our neighborhood. These Minnie Mouse cookies were ordered to be bright pink. And we loved how they turned out! It's fun to work with a customer's vision. Our second wedding in September was one of our favorites. This couple was supposed to get married in Estes Park, but due to the flooding, they had to move the wedding. It didn't even faze them. They were a fantastic couple to work with, and we were thrilled to be part of their day. And their vision of mountains, trees, and fall leaves was amazing! Bonjour! Beauty and the Beast is a favorite around here, so we were excited to do this Belle dress cake. We can just imagine her floating on the dance floor! These Lexus cookies were ordered for a Lexus dealership in Aspen. We wouldn't mind having one of those cars, but the cookies are a tasty substitute! Our third wedding in September was held in Granby. This tree cupcake stand as well as the wood cake topper were perfect for the setting. It was fun delivering to Granby...especially driving through snow on the way home. Stay tuned for the custom work from October!

Head on over to our Everyday Cakes page. This beauty is two layers of chocolate cake with strawberry Swiss meringue buttercream frosting and filling, topped with chocolate ganache and chocolate-covered strawberries. Holy yum! Everyone knows we do logo cookies, right? They are a great corporate gift or treat because who doesn't like to see their company name on a cookie? This was made for a joint birthday party of a fantastic brother and sister. The boy loves Legos, and the girl loves princesses, so we had a fun time coming up with this cake design. Happy birthday you two! This wedding was held in the beautiful Magnolia Hotel downtown, and we love the simplicity of the cake. All the tea roses are hand made out of fondant, and the couple's monogram is hand piped. Congratulations to you two as well! These adorable cookies were ordered as a retirement gift for a local OB doctor. Have a fantastic retirement!
Please keep Whipped Bakery in mind for all your upcoming events, and remember that while we love to do all this custom work, we also love to make pans of brownies and so much more! So the next time you need anything, give us a call or place an order here. We started out June with a bang. This was for a baby shower for a woman who's pregnant with triplets, two boys and a girl. The soon-to-be parents love to ski, so it was fun to incorporate that theme into her baby shower cake. We wish her the best as she's going to deliver soon! On the same day, we got two orders for two different parties at Skate City. What's better than skate cookies to give as party favors?! Let us customize your goodie bags for your upcoming birthday parties. We are doing more custom cookies these days, and these were for Aurora police officers. M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E! This fun cake had an M&M filling, which we thought was very appropriate for the theme. Looking for a great way to say thank you? I know I would love to get these cookies over a card any day! These were customized for a CU Buffs fan, hence the black and gold letters. This cake was made to celebrate the graduation of a college graduate. So we made a chocolate/peanut butter cake and vanilla and chocolate sugar cookies, all with the bottle cap on them. Happy birthday! That was most everything for June. Stay tuned for July's custom orders.
Doing these roundups half-way through each month is becoming the trend. Here's the custom work we did in May. Looking back, we did a lot of cookies! How can we customize cakes, cupcakes, or cookies for your special occasion? We started off the month with this fun Home Depot cake. The cake was done in an orange buttercream and had fondant pockets and strings. The tools were plastic tools given to us by the birthday boy's mom. We heard this cake was loved by kids, parents, and staff at the local Home Depot. Railroad crossing cookies for a train-themed birthday party. These cookies added a special touch to the party. Please keep Whipped Bakery in mind for your upcoming events! Whew! It's almost half-way through May, and we haven't had a chance to do the April roundup yet. Things are going so well! Here's the custom work we had a chance to do in April. Please keep us in mind for any special occasions or just because you want a treat. We love all kinds of orders! Bunko! We had a fun order to do a bunch of dice cookies for a bunko party for the Roxborough Women's Network. We loved the theme of this party...although we usually keep the bugs out of our kitchen. The ladybug pretzels were a huge hit as well as the caterpillar cake and cupcakes. We adored the bug smash cake...and we hear the birthday boy did, too! It's a boy! These cookies were ordered to celebrate when the mom-to-be found out she was having a boy. Such a great treat! We finally got to do a belly cake...and how fun that it was in camouflage and hunter's orange! We proudly donated four cakes, and this Phantom of the Opera cake was one of them. This has fondant piano keys, sugar crystals, a rose, and a white-chocolate mask. Completely edible, this cake was as delicious as it was beautiful. Another cake we donated to the Silent Auction was this tuxedo cake. It's three amazing layers of chocolate cake with a white chocolate buttercream and a drippy chocolate ganache. Of course you can't go wrong with chocolate-covered strawberries. You can find this on our Everyday Cakes page. Sonic was a fun game we played in our childhood, so imagine our surprise when we got this order. We're so happy that Sonic is still around and kickin'. This was a two layer chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. And you can't leave out the golden rings! We loved this simple but fabulous Minnie Mouse cake with coordinating cookies. It was simply precious! The cake was a strawberry cake with strawberry Swiss meringue buttercream and was covered in strawberry fondant...which tastes and smells exactly like Laffy Taffy. You can't go wrong with chocolate cake, raspberry filling, chocolate frosting, and raspberry chocolate ganache. We've added this beauty to our everyday cakes menu because it's that fantastic!
